‘Republican Savior‘ Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) travelled to New York recently to ask Wall Street investors for contributions toward his 2016 war chest/rainy day fund. But apparently some people just hate to see a starry-eyed kid chasing his dreams in the big city.
Jaded nay-sayer #1 is Rep. Pete King (R-NY), who’s upset that New Yorkers would give money to Rubio after he voted against the Hurricane Sandy relief bill. King, whose 2nd congressional district includes the devastated coastal suburbs of Long Island, had this to say:
Being from New York we’re not supposed to be suckers.
.
It’s bad enough that these guys voted against [Hurricane Sandy relief], that’s inexcusable enough. But to have the balls to come in and say, “We screwed you, now make us president?“
