Having apparently run out of future events to predict incorrectly, the perpetually wrong Dick Morris is now unleashing his preternatural capacity for wrongness upon the past as well.
In an appearance last night on Piers Morgan’s show, Morris claimed that in spite of Mitt Romney’s worsening debate performances, “47 percent” comments, and status as an all-around unlikeable person, the GOP candidate totally would have gotten away with that election had it not been for those meddling kids Hurricane Sandy.
“Nobody could tell the impact of Sandy,” Morris claimed. Of course, half-man/half-calculator Nate Silver didn’t get thrown off by the weather: he accurately predicted Obama’s victory months in advance. (To be fair, though, Silver used “data” and “mathematical models,” which is cheating.)
When Morgan noted this problem with the Hurricane Sandy explanation, Morris altered course, claiming the GOP’s loss was due to a fundamental shift in demographics. According to Morris, the Republicans will need to change drastically or they “will never win another election.”
Hear that, Republicans? The demographics are changing. If you ever want to win another election, you need to lock down the hurricane vote.

Bingo! He finally has it right. The republican party has got to change, otherwise they'll (notice I didn't say 'we'll') never win another election. Hand that man a plaster paris trophy.
